Write your novel with a book coach guiding you.
Coaching for Your Writing Life
What if you could have someone to talk to regularly about your novel who guides you in the creative process, gives good professional feedback, and is your biggest cheerleader?
You can! A book coach doesn't just edit your pages, but coaches you through the entire creative process, through all the ups and downs of writing a book.
Good books aren't written alone. Take a look at the acknowledgements section of any published book; there's a whole community involved in bringing a book to life. A writer needs knowledge of writing craft and the publishing industry, a supportive community, and good feedback, not to mention the grit and perseverance to finish the project.
A book coach is one more person on your team as you work to finish your novel and get it out into the world.
You will benefit from book coaching if:
You want to write a novel and don't know where to start.
You are working on a novel and are stuck.
You want guidance to revise your completed novel draft.
You want accountability to show up and work on your novel regularly.
You want professional feedback on your pages as you work on your novel.
You want someone to talk to about your novel who understands the creative process and cares about your project.
You want help preparing to pitch your novel to literary agents or publishers.
How It Works
One book coaching deadline looks like this:
You send me your completed pages, outline, or other story-related assignment by the deadline we set together.
I review your work and provide developmental edits and comments on your pages.
We have a 30-minute video call to discuss the feedback and the assignment for the next deadline.
Repeat!
Deadlines and frequency will depend on your preference and my availability. Every other week tends to work well. We'll continue as long as it takes to complete the project or as long as you still find my coaching helpful.
I will guide you to work on whatever your particular next steps are, whether that’s writing, editing, revising your outline, worldbuilding, or preparing to pitch to literary agents.
Price: $375 per deadline
Your first step is to book a Concept Assessment.
This is where I start with all my clients. A concept assessment will help us get on the same page about your novel, where the story is at, and what work is needed next. From there, I can coach you in whatever phase of the book writing process you need help with.
