Resources for Writers

Many writing communities, books, and tools have been helpful in my writing journey. I hope these recommendations help you, too!

Writing Communities

  • The Catholic Writers' Guild is a professional group of writers, artists, editors, illustrators, and allies whose mission is to build a vibrant Catholic literary culture.

The guild is a great place to network with other writers and industry professionals, both in online chat and at their events. They also have several active critique groups.

    Check it out at catholicwritersguild.org.

  • This community provides training and support for self-publishing any genre of book. I am not a member but I love what they are doing here.

    Check it out at academy.thyolivetree.com.

  • This is an excellent small membership community that teaches writing craft and offers opportunities for critiques and editing services. I met one of the founders at a writing conference and I love what they are doing here.

  • This community is hosted by Write These Words.
